Novel Identification and Grouping of Growing Astronomical Supernovae

چکیده
For years, researchers have been manually classifying images, searching for new supernovae. We propose a system for automatically detecting supernovae. Our multi-step pipeline takes in two images, a template image of the sky and a subject image, and produces a trained classifier that detects supernovae in subtracted images.

Late formation of silicon carbide in type II supernovae
We have found that individual presolar silicon carbide (SiC) dust grains from supernovae show a positive correlation between 49Ti and 28Si excesses, which is attributed to the radioactive decay of the short-lived (t½ = 330 days) 49V to 49Ti in the inner highly 28Si-rich Si/S zone. The 49V-49Ti chronometer shows that these supernova SiC dust grains formed at least 2 years after their parent star...
متن کاملMaraghe Observatory and an Effort towards Retrieval of Architectural Design of Astronomical Units
Maraghe observatory was built by such engineers as Moayiededdin Orozi etc. under supervision of Khaje Nasireddin Tousi in 7th century AH. The most significant feature associated with Maraghe observatory is the fact that architecture is employed to achieve astronomical purposes in this site. The reason for preferring observatory by astronomers was the fact that these units are superior to wooden...
متن کاملIdentification of a Novel Tumor-Binding Peptide for Lung Cancer Through in-vitro Panning
Tumor-targeted therapies are playing growing roles in cancer research. The exploitation of these powerful therapeutic modalities largely depends on the discovery of tumor-targeting ligands. Phage display has proven a promising high throughput screening tool for the identification of novel specific peptides with high binding affinity to cancer cells. In the present study, we describe the use of ...

Most distant and ancient supernovae discovered by the Subaru Telescope. In the image, which show the Subaru Deep Field, numerous supernovae related to white dwarfs were found, and ten of them had exploded more than ten billion years ago. This discovery gives an important clue to study how the heavy elements created in the ancient universe (Graur et al.
